Happy Birthday to... me?

My birthday is on the 13th. Just around the corner. We were on our way to Oaks Park, an amusement park in Portland. Like last year, we were going to the park for my birthday and had a bunch of my closest friends join us. Just as we pulled through the Park gates Noah handed me my dad's iPad to show me something someone did with Paper. There is a section called Made with Paper that exhibits the best things people have sent in. I usually check Made with Paper to see what people have submitted to glean some ideas and inspiration (i.e. the Face in the Mirror is one I saw). So I started flipping through the art and...

BOOM! My Fingerprints art was on there! What a birthday present, eh?

But the best birthday present was having my best friend and fellow artist Emily there.

Against the Current

I finally did a painting! This one is called "Against the Current". It seems these days the majority of teens are all headed in a direction that was previously known to be wrong. It's the "cool" thing to cuss and be vulgar. I don't need to prove myself that way and I certainly don't wish to prove myself that way (or prove myself for that matter). So this painting depicts me, and many other teens, mostly throughout our fellowship. going against the current. There's gonna be a huge reward for the one's of us that do go against the current and there will be devastating repercussions for those that decide it's okay to be in the current. We can, however, change the current if we have the will too.

Faces in the Dark

My dad got an amazing app on his iPad called Paper. Seriously, this thing is incredible. I died and went to heaven. This was the first piece of artwork I did on it. I call it 'Faces in the Dark'. I can't stop talking about this app. It's out of this world amazing. More to come soon.

iPhone Art...

...not from me. Jason actually did this on the iPhone. It's some new app, imade face. I seriously spent forever trying to make myself and couldn't. But Jason did it perfectly. For those of you who don't know I started wearing these glasses in December.

It's pretty amazing. When I have my hair out longer this is what it looks like. Props to Jason.

Quickly becoming one of my favorite, this drawing is of Colin Kaepernick. He's the QB for the San Fransisco 49ers. I fell I kind of redeemed myself after the Jacquizz Rodgers drawing (I did not like how it came out AT ALL).
